Part 1: May 22 - Boston
As violence erupts in the streets, Veer turns away—repulsed not only by the bloodthirsty teens but by Coleman’s chilling fascination with the carnage. Seeking refuge in his lab, he resolves to uncover what went wrong… but the answers waiting below may be darker than anything outside.
Part 2: May 22 - The Trip to the Super Store
While Nancy struggles to comfort the children and establish a sense of routine, three mischief-makers—the self-proclaimed Musketeers—are already plotting. Eyeing vending machines, secret labs, and the freedom to roam, Randy and his friends hatch a daring plan to outsmart the adults. But in this fragile new world, trouble has consequences no one can predict.
Part 3: May 22 - Coleman Tower
After a night haunted by violent dreams, Dr. Veer Gupta pushes his exhausted body to keep working. A tense encounter with Coleman in the employee cafeteria only sharpens his focus—until a sudden insight changes everything. What if the problem isn’t his program at all, but a second signal interfering with it? With clarity breaking through the chaos, Veer realizes the true danger may be something he hasn’t found yet.
Part 4: May 22 - The Colony - Day Two
As Nancy escorts the boys back from the food court, her instincts warn her that trouble is brewing. The two younger boys still carry traces of innocence, but their nervous glances and restless movements betray a deeper unease, while Randy, the oldest, leads them with quiet confidence that masks trouble behind charm and practiced lies. Reflecting on years of failed interventions—frustrated educators, uncooperative parents, and a growing absence of accountability—Nancy watches the boys closely and wonders whether structure, labor, and responsibility, perhaps under Carl’s supervision, might succeed where words have failed, even as she questions whether involving her friend could create more problems than it solves.
Part 5: May 22 - The Colony Agricultural College
As daily routines begin to take shape, Carl focuses on keeping the systems running—power, food, animals, and labor—while others tend to the children’s emotional needs. When a spoiled boy refuses to follow basic rules during pet cleanup, Carl draws a firm line that forces both the children and the adults to confront a new reality: survival requires responsibility. In the aftermath, Nancy is left to comfort a child unprepared for accountability, while Carl quietly wonders what becomes of those who were never taught to adapt.
Part 6: May 22 - Coleman Tower
Dr. Veer Gupta analyzes the altered signal and realizes his interference has permanently merged with another hidden transmission embedded in the news feed. Even shutting his own signal down won’t undo the change. To stop it, he must trace the source of the original signal — a task that requires relocating nearly his entire lab to the sixth floor. With the elevators down, Veer faces the exhausting reality of hauling sensitive equipment up nine flights of stairs, knowing time is no longer on his side.
Part 7: May 22 - Web-heads
While searching South Bend for survivors, Sam and Tim stumble onto a far darker reality than they expected. What begins as a quiet sweep through empty streets turns into a horrifying discovery: teens who have embraced violence as play, turning the frozen world into a hunting ground. As fear closes in, an unexpected ally emerges — a teenage girl who has been quietly protecting younger children from the chaos. With time running out and danger escalating, Sam and Tim must act fast to get the children out alive.
Part 8: May 22 - South Bend
As the rescue unfolds beyond the town center, the danger shifts from spectacle to survival. Sam, Tim, and a determined teenage girl work quietly through back streets and alleys, gathering frightened children and guiding them away from violence and chaos. Trust must be earned quickly, silence becomes a shield, and every decision carries weight as they try to get everyone out unseen.
Part 9: May 22 - Escape from South Bend
As Sam’s group reunites with Tim and Hank, the tension is unmistakable. Tim’s fear has hardened into resolve, forcing Sam to confront how quickly the world has changed — and how quickly its children are being forced to grow up. With danger pressing in and time slipping away, the group regroups outside a roadside motel, makes hard decisions, and prepares to move on, carrying both the youngest survivors and the weight of a world that no longer plays by old rules.
Part 10: May 22 - Elmwood Hospital
Carl’s return to the hospital reveals something no one dared to hope for: recovery. As doctors, students, and volunteers work around the clock to disconnect survivors from their implants, hard truths emerge about who can be saved—and why others cannot. With lives hanging in the balance and time working against them, alliances form quickly, resources are mobilized, and a new plan takes shape. For the first time since the crash, the path forward feels both urgent and possible.
Part 11: May 22 - The Colony
The arrival of the bus brings movement to The Colony—new faces, much-needed supplies, and a shift in the fragile rhythm the survivors have created. As children and adults gather near the quad, small moments unfold that quietly reshape the day.
Part 12: May22 - Back to the Superstore
On the way to the store, the children begin asking the questions everyone has been avoiding. Carl offers the most honest answers he can—direct, compassionate, and without false promises. With expectations set, the trip shifts toward something practical: choice, responsibility, and a small return to routine in a world that no longer feels predictable.
Part 13: May 22 - Coleman Tower
By noon, the building is silent—and Dr. Veer Gupta is alone with the dead. As he prepares the server room for what comes next, every choice tests his endurance, his compassion, and his resolve to remain human in a world that no longer is.
Part 14: May 22 - Escape from South Bend
Fear hangs thick in the air as Sam, Carl, Tim, and a growing group of survivors make a tense stand outside a deserted pharmacy in South Bend. With frightened children clinging to one another and danger pressing in from unseen corners, Sam must make a snap decision that will change the group’s fate. As an old school bus becomes their only lifeline, instincts sharpen, loyalties solidify, and the cost of hesitation becomes painfully clear. What they leave behind — and who may be watching — lingers long after they speed away.
Part 15: May 22 - Back to the Superstore
Back at Shop Smart, the children revel in a fleeting moment of freedom—running, laughing, and clutching the treasures they claimed in a world without rules. But while the kids cling to hope that the net will return and life will resume as normal, the adults know better. As Sam and Tim recount the horrors unfolding in South Bend, the mood shifts from relief to resolve. Security plans are set in motion, rifles are gathered, and Carl prepares the colony for a darker reality. Childhood innocence may still flicker—but the world has changed, and survival now demands vigilance.
Part 16: May 22 - On Guard
As the final group of children gathers supplies, Sam, Tim, and the adults confront the unsettling truth: the violent teens in South Bend are still connected to a mysterious war game that somehow continues running despite the global crash. While Carl arms the hospital in preparation for the worst, deeper questions emerge—why is the game still active, and who is keeping it alive? The children may be safe for now, but an invisible threat still pulses in the shadows, setting the stage for what comes next.
